So many of our customers and friends and family ask us how we have a business together. We both tell them that we are blessed to love our sister-in-law. We have totally different personalities and styles and that makes the business work for us.

Goochie Goo's was conceived after Amy had her baby boy Mac and decided to leave the teaching profession. She called Kari and told her of the idea to open a children's store, which had actually came to her after Kari had her baby girl Makayla in August 2003. Without hesitation, Kari said "Let's do it." It was the perfect opportunity for us to spend more time with our children. We opened our store front in October 2004 and launched our online store one year later.

Choosing the name Goochie Goo's was easy. Amy's maiden name and Kari's married name is Gooch. Gooch as a last name was often turned into Goochie for Amy growing up. And the obvious phrase "goochie goo" has been forced upon babies for centuries.

We have always loved to shop for ourselves and never thought that we would have so much fun shopping for our children and yours. Our goal is to create an online children's store that you will love-one that will appeal to your style and your child's personality. Happy shopping!
